I have have one of these skis and I am not impressed at all. The rudder system is useless and broke on the first paddle. The peddle system does not work well and the sharp carbon edge is like a blade. If you are dumped by a wave and are in the wash with this ski you don't want that peddle system cutting you up.
The rudder was poorly made and consists of a stainless steel bolt, at the top, glued into a carbon shaft that then runs into the rudder blade. Under any kind of pressure and I just mean from the water when turning the rudder, this glued stainless bolt snapped free. This left me with no steering.
After an eternity and several emails to Point 65 they just told me to re glue the rudder and sent me a new "upgraded" peddle system. The peddles looked like they were made by a school kid and I lost all confidence in the skis. I felt like they were doing there Rn'D on me and spent most of the summer looking at the ski in my garage.
Once I put it back together and took it for a paddle, last week, I noticed it was taking on water.
By the way, there is not much rocker on the ski and it is rubbish in biggish swell.
Considering that they cost a lot more, nearly £1000 more, than a Fenn or Epic of similar spec. you are far better of staying with one of these tried and tested products.
